The Accessing Assistant provides a variety of ways to access and retrieve products
from the three national credit repositories, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.
Accessing Assistant Communications Methods:
- Dialup - Ascii async dialup to Equifax and TransUnion.
Experian no longer supports
dialup service.
- Direct Connect - Ascii connection via a multiplexer provided by the repositories.
- TCPIP - Socket-based connection via a frame relay connection provided by the repositories.
- Web Access - HTTP host-to-host communications to Equifax's Internet STS, Experian's NetConnect and
TransUnion's Net Access systems.
